I Will Never Disrespect Beyoncé ---- ADELE

British record breaking singer, Adele who got the world trying their vocal quality, has stated for the umpteenth that she loves Queen Bee, Beyoncé.

She said this in an interview with TIME, when asked if she truly turned down a collaboration with the ‘Drunk in love’ pop star, Beyoncé. Adele went a little too far to prove her love for Queen Bee, she compared her love for the pop star as close to the love she has for her son, Angelo.

“Whoever started that rumor must have been having a laugh because anyone who knows me knows that my main priority in life outside of my child is Beyoncé.” Adele told TIME.
In November, the Adele had gushed about Beyoncé on the Beats 1 radio show and denied all rumors saying that when Queen Bee requested for a diet, she turned her down.

“There’s a rumor going round that I turned Beyoncé down which I would never be so disrespectful as to do. I’d never disrespect her like that. Obviously, like, Queen Bey ’til the day I die,” Adele said.

But if Angelo is numebr 1 and Beyoncé is the second love of Adele’s life, where does that leave her man Simon Konecki? Third place? #justsaying
With all that said we hoping for a duet between them both. Hello Adele and Beyonce from the other side, please we want a collaboration.

President Buhari To Present The 2016 Appropriation Bill Today December 22

President Muhammadu Buhari will today, December 22, present the 2016 Appropriation Bill to the joint session of the National Assembly comprising the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Ahead of today’s budget presentation, the Senate had last week approved the Medium Term and Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) submitted by the Federal Government, approving Crude Oil Benchmark price of $38 per barrel for 2016 despite the global dwindling crude oil price to $36 per barrel as at Monday.

In the documents, the Senate also approved that the Federal Government should in 2016 establish a database and possibly a single salary account for all its employees as that would help streamline and reduce its personnel cost. It also approved the exchange rate of N197 to $1 as proposed in the MTEF.

Naira currently exchanges at N270 to a dollar on the parallel market.
Meanwhile, senators and members of the House of Representatives are prepared to give the bill accelerated consideration and passage into law, according to Vanguard.

As part of moves to fast track the passage of the bill when the Senators resume from New year break in the second week of January, a source told the newspaper that once the President presents the budget today, the Senate and the House of Representatives will go to their various chambers to commence work.

According to the source, part of the arrangement is to present the bill for first reading today and tomorrow, when the lawmakers will formally adjourn sitting till next year, the bill would then be presented for second reading and passed and thereafter referred to the appropriate committees on Finance, Budget, National Planning and Appropriation among others.

Khloe Kardashian Says 2015 is Her Worst Year Ever

Khloe Karadashian has declared the year 2015 as her worse ever!

In a questions and answers session on Tweeter on Wednesday, November 25, fans Khloe lied to one follower who commented “except with the whole Lamar thing 2015 was good to you Khloe.” To which Kardashian, 31, admitted 2015 was “hands down [the] worst year of my life lol.”

Having recovered from a staph infection, on top of caring for her estranged husband Lamar Odom in the hospital, Kardashian has been through a lot as of late.

The former NBA star, 36, has been at the hospital since October 13 following a near-fatal overdose at a brothel in Nevada.

And a week later, Odom was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he continues to “work hard every day” so he can regain the ability to walk by himself, though he struggles to communicate verbally due to issues resulting from oxygen deprivation and the strokes he suffered.

Kardashian has been a constant presence at the hospital, in addition to her famous momager and siblings.

“[Lamar’s] here and he’s alive, but to say it’s not a long road and to say he’s fully better is not the truth either. You never know if he’ll ever be the same again,” pregnant sister Kim Kardashian recently told OAP Ryan Seacrest.

Ibim Semenitari
Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, who is the former aide of Minister for Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, received the post of the Managing Director of the commission.

Meanwhile, Semenitari is to work in acting capacity waiting the appointment of a functional MD.

Semenitari, an award-winner journalist and media manager, worked in the communications directorate of the Buhari presidential campaign organisation during the 2015 presidential poll.

Before then, the new boss of the NDDC had served as Commissioner of Information and Communications in Rivers state under the administration of Amaechi, who is former governor of the state.

President Buhari, who was sworn in as Nigerian leader on May 29, has appointed his cabinet just in November.

BREAKING: JUST IN: Nigerians Will Pay More For Electricity Consumption.

Following the increase of the charges for electricity consumption across the country by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Nigerians will spend more money on electricity.

NERC issued a statement announcing the removal of fixed electricity charges. The commission said that Nigerians would now have to pay for “ only what they consume ”.

The statement read in part: “Although, the new tariff regimes comes with an increase in energy charges, all electricity consumers (residential as well as commercial) will no longer pay fixed charges, so their total bills will depend on the electricity they actually consume and may be reduced when they conserve electricity.”

“This is in line with NERC’s mandate to be fair in all its regulatory interventions.
“Consumers will no longer be spending money every month to pay for fixed charges even when they do not receive electricity in their homes and business. The objective of the new tariff is to enable prudent consumers to save money on electricity bill as they can now control their consumption and not pay monthly fixed charges.

“For instance, residential customer classification (R2) in Abuja Electricity Distribution Company will no longer pay N702.00 fixed charge every month.

Their energy charge will increase by N9.60. Also, residential customers (R2 customers) in Eko and Ikeja electricity distribution areas will no longer pay N750. 00 fixed charges. They will be getting N10 and N8 increase respectively in their energy charges.

“Similarly, the burden of N800.00 and N750.00 fixed charges would be lifted off the shoulders of Kaduna and Benin electricity consumers. These consumers will see an increase of N11.05 and N9.26 respectively in their energy charges.

“The new tariff is also good news for commercial consumers For example, commercial customers’ classification C2 in Ibadan and Enugu will no longer pay fixed charges of N17, 010. 00 and N22, 141. 00. Their energy charge will increase by N12.08 and N13.35 respectively.

“In line with the transparent disposition to its operations full details of the new tariff regime would be advertised in major national dailies and commission website within the next 24 hours.”

The House of Representatives just recently called on commission to immediately stop its plans to increase electricity tariff, waiting the conclusion of the investigations into the operations of the NERC and electricity distribution companies.

➢➢➢ Why Nigeria Will Be Consumed- Ohaneze Youth Council

Nigeria will be consumed if Nnamdi Kanu, the Radio Biafra director remains detained by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) despite court rulings, says Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC).

According to the OYC, it is shocking that four days after an Abuja High Court gave order for Kanu’s unconditional release, the authorities of DSS have continued to keep the Biafra leader in their custody.

The OYC strongly condemned the attitude of the DSS over the detained Biafran activist, stating that the detention is not in the best interest of the nation.

In a statement issued by the national president of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and secretary, Nnabuike Okwu, the group appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari, to prevail on the authorities of the DSS to free the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the interest of peace.

The OYC informed that, there are tendencies for Kanu’s loyalists, and Biafra agitators to renew deadlier protests capable of consuming Nigeria.
They stressed that a relapse of protests must be avoided, as it might be difficult to calm Igbo youths again.

According to the OYC the patience of the youths are wearing thin running over Kanu’s detention which they see unjust.

President Buhari should help save the country from unnecessary tension by prevailing on the DSS to release Kanu since the courts have discharged and acquitted him.

“We know how much efforts it took us to prevail on IPOB and MASSOB members to stop their protests before the court ruling, and we don’t know what to tell them again as Kanu is still in detention four days after he was discharge by a court of competent jurisdiction,” OYC said.

The recent killing of jubilant pro-Biafra supporters, following the favourable judgement of Kanu, was sternly condemned by the OYC.

“The recent killings of IPOB and MASSOB members in Onitsha by security agents as they jubilated over the court order for his release was a tip on the ice bag of the agenda of our enemies to decimate Ndigbo on the excuse of quelling uprising. To be forewarned is to be fore armed,” the group stated.

Ohanaeze in their statement issued on Sunday, December 20,  urged Biafra agitators and Igbo youths to remain calm as efforts were being intensified to secure freedom for Kanu.

“We call on all Igbo youths especially IPOB and MASSOB members as well as other Biafran agitators to resist the snare by the enemies of Ndigbo to again, turn Igbo soil into theatre of war.

“The destruction in the North East is what our enemies want to see happen in South East but we must collectively resist that. Some people are looking for an opportunity the likely protests that Kanu’s continued detention might spark to use war planes to send Ndigbo backwards again,” the statement read.

In conclusion, the OYC appealed to the international community that than coming with aids to refugee camps, they should make more efforts to intervene and save Nigeria from plunging into another avoidable ethnic fracas.

In a related development, Ohaneze Ndigbo has condemned the Biafra protest in Onitsha which led to the death of two police officers and nine protesters. They appealed to the protesters to becareful and not to allow their actions lead to something catastrophic.

➢➢➢ Fresh Trouble Brewing In Onitsha Over Abduction Of 18 Biafrans

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and MASSOB claimed that Nigerian army abducted 18 their members from the private hospital where they received treatment.

New Telegraph reports that the kidnapping in Onitsha has compelled the groups to believe a re-reprisal attack because the members were yet to recover after their last clash with troops attached to the 302 Military Cantonment Onitsha on order of the Commander, Col. Abdulahi.

The revelation came just as ex-governor of the state Chukwuemeka Eziefe said that President Muhammadu Buhari is stirring the agitation for Biafra by his systematic favoritism against the South-East in nominations because of the voting structure of the zone in the last polls.

He added that by Buhari’s inability to ensure that an Igboman receive one of the first five major government positions in Nigeria, and denying the region in particular, of the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the president has left the people of the region without an option.

Phillip Ezekiel, the area commander of the Nigeria police force in Onitsha, noted that. the police had no problem with MASSOB for now.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the campaign for democracy in the South-East zone supported by Uzor A. Uzor, claimed that attacks on members of the group have continued.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on December 17
ordered the State Security Service to release the leader of the IPOB Nnamdi Kanu, on bail, unconditionally.
However, Kanu, who’s arrest in October caused new wave of pro-Biafran protests, is seems to be still in custody.

➢➢➢ Arms Deal Probe: Why President Buhari Is Yet To Arraign Jonathan

Many Nigerians are eagerly waiting to know how the current corruption probe into $2bn arms deal will pan out on immediate past president Goodluck Jonathan.

Former president Goodluck Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari
Former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki has been squealing before operatives of anti-graft commission on receivers of money his office supposedly released on not only purported arms procurement, but on as diverse as matters of non-security.

President Muhammadu Buhari committee establish to investigate arms spending over the past eight years had exposed a total of N643.8 billion extra budgetary deal, except grants from the state governments and funds collected by the Department of State Security (DSS) and the police.

However, former NSA maintained that he couldn’t have released such huge funds without Jonathan’s approval.
Dasuki’s impressive and criminative revelations have already led to the arrest and arraignment of some leading members of the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

On the ex-president, in a statement on November 18, Dasuki noted the next: “ That I am aware in November (I cannot remember the exact date), my office requested the CBN to exchange N10 billion from the account of the Office of National Security Adviser domiciled in CBN. The money was exchanged at $47m and some Euros which I cannot remember. The exact amount was delivered at my residence.

“The money was for delegates that attended the nomination convention for the PDP Presidential nomination. The money was paid and sent to Hon. (Waripamowei) Dudafa (SSAP Household) and ADC (C-I-C) for distribution on the instruction of the President.”

So President Buhari is now in dilemma as it’s not clear how the incumbent leader plans to handle whatever may be Jonathan’s participation in the committee’s findings, which Femi Adesina, presidential spokesperson, defined as “extremely worrying considering that the interventions were granted within the same period that our troops fighting the insurgency in the Northeast were in desperate need of platforms, military equipment and ammunition.”

The committee’s exposures could, indeed, be distressing enough to set Buhari on a dispute course with his immediate predecessor whom he had praised on some events as a democratic hero for accepting defeat in the March 28 election.

Following the findings of the presidential committee, other arraignments had happened.
On December 1, the anti-graft commission picked up son of ex-governor of Sokoto Attahiru Bafarawa, and Dokpesi, who was arraigned December 9.

Former Minister of State for Finance in the Jonathan government, Bashir Yuguda, was also arrested and charged in court.
Doubts trail Buhari’s crucial step on Jonathan amidst Dasuki’s bombshells and other disclosures, there is the belief in some quarters that the president is being hamstrung by some “hidden” portions of the Abuja Peace Accord initiated by the National Peace Committee and signed by all political parties on March 26, 2015.

The major subject of the peace agreement, made public two days to the presidential elections, was that the parties must avoid violence and aspirants accept the outcome of the polls.
However, it was reported that the telephone call by Jonathan congratulating Buhari for winning the polls was “Part 1” of the Accord “hidden” agreement.

The “Part 2” was that there should not be any investigation of the past regime, particularly should Buhari win.
While a close assistant to the ex-president claimed that Jonathan was unflurried about the revelations of wild looting under him and Dasuki’s accusation that he gave approvals, Jonathan may not actually be comfortable with the developments.

The aide further revealed that Jonathan observes the disclosures of plundering as affecting individual members of his government rather than him or his administration generally.
But Jonathan had paid several “secret visits” to President Buhari at his official residence in Aso Rock villa and what two leaders discussed wasn’t made public.

One of the sources of the Daily Trust, a member of the National Peace Committee said that he believed that prosecuting Jonathan “will be difficult despite the fact his signature was on many of the controversial deals.”

He added that Buhari’s hesitation in inviting Jonathan to answer for his role in the arms scandal, among others, may not necessarily be informed by any deal struck by the two leaders.
Meanwhile, the presidency has said that President Buhari’s hands are not tied over the possibility of investigating his predecessor.
Femi Adesina said that Buhari did not reach any deal with the National Peace Committee for the 2015 General Elections that Jonathan would not be investigated.

Adesina clarified that the National Peace Committee only urged that all investigations should be done in accordance with the rule of law.
Asked whether ex-president would be investigated, the presidential spokesperson said: “ When we come to any bridge, it will be crossed”.

➢➢➢ Five Gifts President Buhari Would Love For His Birthday (PHOTOS)

President Muhammadu Buhari turned 73 Yesterday; for an
African his age, one can only say he is aging gracefully.
The ex-general who has come to be loved by Nigerians,
was born on December 17, 1942, in Daura.

As with most birthday celebrations, gifts are likely to
come rolling in from all quarters. However, of all the
felicitations and gifts which the president is likely to
receive today, nothing will please his heart more than
these five gifts.

1. Boko Haram surrender
Earlier in the year, President Buhari gave a deadline for
the ousting of the dreaded sect which has been plaguing
the northeastern region of the country. However,
December is here and though the Nigerian army has
made progress clearing the camps of the insurgents, still
the jihadists are not giving-up.
President Buhari desires an end to the insurgency in the
northeast.
The Islamists have continued to carry out guerrilla
attacks, wrecking havoc from time to time, causing the
nation so much agony.

Only recently, the sect ambushed troops of the Nigerian
army traveling in a convoy at a town along Bama/
Konduga axis, killing a lieutenant colonel and some other
officers .
The truth remains that Boko Haram is Buhari’s and
Nigeria’s biggest dilemma at the moment, and nothing
will please the president more, than seeing an end to the
bloodshed that has characterized the insurgency within
the northeast of Nigeria.
He would do anything to see that the people stop living in
terror .

2. Biafra bury the hatchet
There is no doubt that President Buhari would not have
no part in a divided Nigeria. The president has often made
clear his love for the nation and believes that the country
in unity can be great.

The agitation by pro-Biafra groups in the southeast has
for a while troubled the nation. The Igbos are an integral
part of the nation, they played a great role in the
attainment of the country’s independence, and rather
than have them go, the president would rather strive to
make them understand that they are of great value to
Nigeria and that the country would be more formidable
with all its ethnic groups focused on one goal.
The Biafra agitation is one issue the Nigerian president
would love to be resolved.

For quite a while, Buhari seemed silent over the brewing
agitation across states in the southeastern region,
however, when he finally spoke on the issue, one could
see the passion of a leader determined to keep the
country united.

In his speech on Monday, November 16, during the
launching of the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day
Emblem and Appeal Fund, the president noted that
Nigerians have since independence remained united,
therefore, the people’s resolve to remain united is ever
strong.

3. The death of corruption
If there is one great task President Buhari believes he
has been assigned, then it will be the death of corruption.
In all his prominent speeches, the president has always
hammered on corruption and how he yearns to oust it
from the Nigerian system.

It is no news that corruption has eaten deep into the fibre
of the Nigerian system, a factor which experts say is
responsible for the nation’s poor growth over the years.
With so many scandals and corrupt officers on all the
levels, the president’s heart is broken, and once he
lamented saying the nation’s trust has been betrayed.
President Buhari has said that his administration will fight
corruption and bring corrupt officials to justice. Like the
request of John’s head on a platter, by the daughter of
Herod on her birthday, a great gift for Buhari on this day
will be the head of corruption which for too long has
deprived Nigeria of its true glory.

4. Fuel woes and economic healing
For a nation that is blessed with an abundance of oil, fuel
and other petroleum products should not be an issue, but
that this not the story of Nigeria.
Nigeria’s fuel scarcity issues keeps getting worse by the
day, with numerous issues plaguing the oil and gas
industry.

The issue of subsidy payments thrives on, as arguments
for and against subsidy removal are raised. Nigeria’s oil
production has dwindled and that has cost the giant of
Africa its place as the top oil producer in Africa .

It would be recalled that prior to his election as the
president of Nigeria, Buhari had in an interview with
Channels TV, said that he will stabilize the global oil
price.

Solely dependent on petroleum for the running of the
economy, the country tends to be taking a nose dive, as
there seem no growth in sight, a problem that is well told
by the daily depreciation in the value of naira.
According to This Day, traders said that low oil prices and
forex currency curbs introduced by the Central Bank of
Nigeria (CBN) saw the naira fall yesterday to a new low
of N270 to the US dollar on the unofficial market. This
comes after the central bank rationed dollar supplies for
the third week in a row.

Nigeria’s current debts as stipulated by the Debt
Management Office (DMO), is a whooping $64 billion.
Nigerians are skeptical of the situation, though at a
briefing of the Senate Committee on Foreign and Local
Debts on December 14, Abraham Nwankwo, the DMO
boss, dismissed the fears of some Nigerians that the
rising debt profile of the country will affect the economy
in a negative way .

Nwankwo explained that the N1.2 trillion domestic
borrowing and foreign loan of N635.88 billion proposed in
the Medium Term Expenditure Framework for the 2016
fiscal, was also healthy for the nation’s economy.

As the Yuletide celebrations approach, prices of goods
and services have soared across the country. Less than
10 days to Christmas, consumers are apprehensive over
the increase , while traders in major markets across the
country now complain of low patronage.

A great gift for President Buhari will be strategies that
can efficiently see Nigeria through its economic
difficulties, as some stakeholders would have loved the
president to resign if he cannot solve the economic
hardship in the country
The nation needs a miracle to make its economy grow
and stand firm, generating revenue from other sources is
a very viable option.

5. Change
The mantra for the APC-led administration is “Change”, a
message which saw them unseat the Peoples Democratic
Party that has ruled the Nigerian people over the last
sixteen years.

President Buhari promised the Nigerian people change in
diverse sectors, but while the people patiently await the
fulfillment of all that has been promised, there is a
change that the president would love to see as a gift for
his birthday, and that is the change that begins with the
people.

Like the saying goes, in a democratic society the people
constitute the government, hence any change desired
must begin with the people.

The president would definitely love to see that Nigerians
work with the mentality of change, a change of mindset
and character.

It would be beautiful that as the year runs to an end, the
Nigerian people make resolutions to change certain things
that do not aid in the development of the nation.
In one of his famous speeches, President Buhari said:
“This generation of Nigerians, and, indeed the future
generation, have no country other than Nigeria; we shall
stay and salvage it together” . The statement emphasizes
the fact the president is counting on everyone to make
the promised “change” feasible.
We,@nosyempire.blogspot.com wish President Buhari good health,
wisdom and more power to his elbow, even as he strives
to meet up with the demands of the covenant which he
made to the great people of Nigeria.

Happy birthday, Mr President!

BREAKING: BREAKING: High Court Decides Kanu’s Bail Application

The Federal High Court in Abuja ,
ordered the immediate and unconditional release of the
Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

High Court Decides Kanu’s Bail Application
Presiding over a bail application filed by Egechukwu
Obetta, Kanu’s counsel, Justice Ademola Adeniyi ordered
that the Biafra agitator be released.

Adeniyi’s order came after Obetta challenged the
continuous detention of his client by the State Security
Services (SSS) following an order obtained from the
Federal High Court to detain Kanu for 90 days.

But Obetta in his submissions said the SSS had
fraudulently approached the court to obtain the order
even while the case was before a chief magistrate,
Shuaibu Usman of the magistrate court in Abuja.

Obetta asked the court to revoke its order which alleged
that Kanu was being investigated for terrorism and
terrorism funding by the SSS.
Also speaking on today’s court ruling, Obetta said this
order is a victory for justice and democracy.

Kanu, who is also the Leader of the Indigenous People of
Biafra has been in the DSS custody since October when
he was arraigned by the DSS operatives in Lagos and
moved to Abuja.

Arguing, the counsel to the DSS, Moses Idakwo, objected
to Kanu’s bail application and asked the court not to
admit the suspect on bail because he was allegedly
involved in terrorism acts.

A Magistrate Court sitting in Abuja on December 16
discharged the cases against Kanu. However, his lawyer
Obetta said that Biafra leader is yet to be released from
the custody.

➢➢➢ Exposed: Why Biafra Lost The Civil War

Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, leader of the Biafra Independent
Movement (BIM), and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu,
publisher of Champion Newspapers, have disclosed for
the first time, why they think Biafra lost the 1967 civil
war.

The duo have attributed the defeat to lack of interest of
Igbo elites as well as the creation of Rivers and Cross
River states by General Yakubu Gowon in 1968.

Uwazuruike made this disclosure while addressing
members of BIM at the Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu
conference centre in Owerri.

At the conference which held on Tuesday, December 15,
yesterday, he introduced new leaders of MASSOB which
according to him is now the youth wing of BIM.

According to This Day, the Biafra leader said he believed
that Biafra could still be sovereign considering the level
of idealist tendency that would drive her economy.

He stated that “Biafra has an ideal government that tends
to eschew corruption” .

According to him, “we lost the civil war because Gen
Gowon created Rivers and Cross River states from the
mainstream of Biafra enclave”.

He however, noted that Biafra of today is being
championed by all Igbo speaking states of the federation,
making it a wide spread movement.
On whether Igbo leaders support the movement of Biafra,
Uwazuruike recalled that even the present governor of
Imo state, Chief Rochas Okorocha was nominated by
MASSOB in his (Uwazuruike Okwe residence).

MASSOB has come of age. The present Governor of Imo
State received his ticket to run for governor in my house.
The present Ohanaeze president was chosen in my house
and he won, though the governors said they would not
recognize him, but he is the leader of Ohanaeze today.

MASSOB has played her role in Igboland and we are still
playing that role. They know we will play major role when
we have Biafra. So anybody that does not recognize us is
either sleeping or dreaming” , Uwazuruike said.

Iwuanyanwu on his own part, said that Igbo are today
marginalized in the country because they don’t have
anybody to speak or talk for them unlike in the past when
everything were based in merit.
He made this known while speaking at the 2015 special
media forum of the correspondents’ chapel of Nigeria
Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Owerri, Imo state.

Reacting to the issue of census figures in the country and
the need to diversify the nation’s economy, the frontline
politician said that as of the present day, he does not
believe in Biafra.
He recalled that during the war he was among the Igbos
who stood their ground for emancipation of the
southeasterners.

Iwuanyanwu said his stands on the freedom of Igbos, led
to his detention immediately after the war.
The elder statesman expressed worry over the behaviours
of some Igbo leaders as their actions have contributed in
backwardness in development of the zone.

According to him, the people of the southeast have
enough potentials and land to produce food for
themselves, but have failed to develop it for the interest
of the people.

He said: “Igbo have not actually come up with realities,
have everything but the effort is not there” .
The renowned publisher opined that the southeast would
remain disadvantaged if the census exercise is done in
consideration of delineation of areas, cultural
considerations among others.
As the agitation for the actualization of Biafra continues
to take twists and turns, Uwazuruike has urged pro-Biafra
agitators to shun violence.

The BIM leader, cautioned members of the IPOB to apply
non-violent methods in their quest for that actualization
of Biafra state and for the release of its founder, Kanu
and other members of the groups who are currently being
detained by Nigeria’s security agencies.

BREAKING: Governor Wike Receives Heavy Blow As Appeal Court Decides His Fate

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has reportedly
delivered judgment on the Rivers state governorship
election held on April 11.

According to reports, the appeal court has upheld the
ruling of the tribunal. Therefore, Governor Nyesom Wike’s
election stands nullified.

Sahara Reporters reports that the seven issues raised by
Governor Wike have been resolved by the court against
him and in favour of Dakuku Peterside, the All
Progressives Congress’s governorship candidate.

In a 110-page ruling delivered by Justice M.B. Dongban-
Mensem the court ruled that Wike’s election did not
conform to the stipulations of the Electoral Act.

The court therefore has ordered a rerun in 90 days.
The tribunal headed by Justice Suleiman Ambrosa had in
a judgment on October 24, 2015, nullified Wike’s election
and ordered the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) to conduct a fresh election.

Wike had challenged the verdict of the tribunal, as he
filed an appeal at the Court of Appeal, asking the court to
set aside the judgment of the Rivers state governorship
election tribunal which voided his election.

Rally In Lagos: APC Warns Pro-Biafra Activists

The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) has issued a warning to those activists planning to
organize mass demonstration in Lagos under the aegis of
the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of
Biafra and the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB).

Biafra protesters
PM News reports that the warning was contained in a
statement made by Joe Igbokwe, the Lagos state
publicity secretary of the APC.
Igbokwe stressed that the state would not allow
politically sponsored hoodlums masquerading as pro-
Biafran protesters or any other group to plunge Lagos into
crisis.
Appealing to those behind the plot, Igbokwe noted that
the security agencies led by the Lagos state
commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni, vowed to deal
ruthlessly with anybody found to be involved in such
protests.

“As a party that governs Lagos, it will be derelict of us to
watch a group of politically-sponsored hoodlums tamper
with the tight security system that has been effortlessly put
in place by the state government to combat increasing crime
rates in the state. We cannot allow these hoodlums,
sponsored by politicians that failed woefully in the last
general elections, to unleash mayhem on peace loving
Lagosians so as to achieve dark political aims that run
parallel to the interests of Lagosians.

“It is obvious that the sponsors of the planned protest want
to throw the state into needless mayhem by their act but the
state will be ready to mete out to them the appropriate
antidotes for such folly. Knowing full well that whatever they
purport to represent is alien to Lagos and Lagosians, we
wonder what the evil masterminds of these purported
protests want to achieve in Lagos if not to plunge the state
into unmitigated disruption and crisis and we state that
Lagos will not allow such plans.

Knowing full well that hoodlums are meant to capitalize on
any so-called protests to unleash mayhem on Lagosians and
compromise its tight security, we have no doubt that the
brains behind the protest have very sinister intents the state
will not allow,” the APC said.
The party urged market leaders to desist from any plot
and not allow their markets to be used for such
dangerous activities; otherwise, the state would not
hesitate to show such market leaders the exit.
The APC also called on Lagosians to be law abiding and
inform security agencies about the masterminds of such
evil plots that endanger the security of lives and
properties in Lagos.

TIM GUNN’S #1 FASHION RULE: ‘DON’T DRESS LIKE A KARDASHIAN. IT’S VULGAR, PERIOD.’

The word I keep using with regards to Tim Gunn is “glorious.”
The man is glorious. Gunn really doesn’t care who he
alienates, and he’s about two seconds away from giving Anna
Wintour a rage-stroke. In the past six months, he’s saved his
most serious (and hilarious) insults for the Kardashian-Jenner
clan though.

Over the summer, Us Weekly handed him Kim
Kardashian’s coffee table book, Selfish , and Tim went OFF.
He called it “disgusting and vile” and said he felt like his IQ
was “plummeting” just by looking at it. Then, in November,
Gunn once again slammed the family, saying their style was
“vulgar” and that Kanye West’s Adidas collection was a
bunch of “dumb clothes.” Well, the NYDN spoke to Tim over
the weekend and he had so much more to say.

On Kanye West’s clothes: “I’m on record having said (his
fashions) are basic, what a dear friend of mine Grace
Mirabella (former editor in Chief of Vogue) calls, dumb
clothes. It’s not fashion. They’re dumb clothes and they’re
expensive, dumb clothes. I’ve always said the only thing
dumber than his clothes is the people who buy them.”

Tim Gunn’s #1 Fashion Rule: “I’m always saying to young
people and actually even to adults, I don’t care what you
wear as long as you don’t dress like a Kardashian. It’s vulgar,
period. But that’s what they are. I believe that their place in
history will be because of this phenomenon that really is
about nothing. And aren’t people getting bored of it?”

Caitlyn or Kylie Jenner ? “I don’t like any of (their style
choices). It’s all the same. Then to read a headline ‘Learn
Caitlyn Jenner’s beauty secrets!‘ She’s a kid! I mean Kylie
sorry. I get all the K’s confused. And I want to say this about
Caitlyn. I have the greatest respect for what she has done
and been through, but no I’m not a fan of the style.”

He was “horrified” when Caitlyn won Glamour’s WOTY Award
and said that the most difficult decision a woman has to
make in the morning is what to wear: “I thought, really? I
think if you asked most other women that it’s not going to be
on the tip of their tongue. She’s like a dizzy broad.

Actually I
love that. She’s a dizzy broad.”
That’s actually a dead-on assessment of Caitlyn Jenner, she
is a dizzy broad. And to confuse Kylie with Caitlyn? Priceless!

As for Tim’s #1 Fashion Rule: Don’t Dress Like A
Kardashian… I can see that. I mean, that’s a good rule of
thumb for any stylist/fashionista. Is it a trash-bag looking
Givenchy? Don’t dress like a Kardashian. Will this onesie
make me look like Humpty Dumpty ? Don’t dress like a
Kardashian. Should I wander around New York looking like a
morose refugee? Don’t wear Kanye’s dumb clothes.

Dec 2015 ALICIA VIKANDER COVERS VOGUE, WANTS YOU TO KNOW SHE’S STILL WITH MICHAEL FASSBENDER

As I mentioned in a previous Alicia Vikander story, Alicia
covers the January issue of Vogue. You can see the editorial
here – they styled Alicia with baby-bangs throughout, and it’s
kind of rough. Her motion looks great, and the clothes are to
die for, but the bangs kill it for me. It’s like Vogue was just
trying to needle me!! The profile is actually a breezy, no-
news-here read, but I still walked away annoyed by her. I
can’t exactly put my finger on why though. It’s not any one
thing, … read more
